Leung Ka-chun
Orchestral Associate Violin

Leung Ka-chun holds Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music in Violin Performance degrees from the Boston University School of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Music. During his studies in Boston, he received numerous scholarships, including the Roman and Melanie Totenberg String Scholarship. He was twice awarded by the Boston University School of Music and was inducted into the American National Music Honor Society, Pi Kappa Lambda. His violin teachers include Yuri Mazurkevich and Leslie Ryang.

Leung has served as concertmaster in several orchestras, including Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra. He is frequently invited to participate in chamber music festivals such as the Oberlin Conservatory of Music Baroque Performance Institute and Arianna Chamber Music Festival. In 2018, he won the Third Prize in the 2018 Cremona International Violin Competition.

Leung has performed in world-renowned concert halls throughout North America, Europe and Asia, such as New York Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Italy Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi and Hong Kong Cultural Centre. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Collegium Musicum Hong Kong and Boston University Baroque Orchestra.
