Luo Wei-min
Violin

Born in Guangzhou, Luo Wei-min graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2001. She then gained her Master’s Degree at The Cologne University of Music in 2007, under the guidance of Professor Gerhard Peters. She also took up Baroque Violin with Professor Richard Gwilt, one of Europe’s best-known baroque violinists.

Luo Wei-min received a honorary prize at National Violin Soloist Competition in 1993. As a member of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music String Quartet, she has also won the 4th prize at the 1st National String Quartet Competition in 1995. In 1997, she has formed a String Quartet with three lecturers from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and together they have attended Alban Berg Quartet’s masterclass in Vienna. During her stay in Germany, Luo Wei-min has also played in the Baroque Chamber Ensemble in Cologne.
