William Lee
Orchestral Associate Violin

Currently a violinist of Hong Kong Sinfonietta, William Lee completed the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music at the Hong Kong Baptist University. During this time, he was appointed as Concertmaster of Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum of Hong Kong. He received a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Texas at Austin with scholarships. He studied with Wong Wai Ming, Andrew Ling, Ray Tsoi and Daniel Ching during his university studies, and has participated in several violin and chamber masterclasses with Kathleen Wrinkler, Daniel Jordan, David Kim, Leo Philips, Robert Diaz etc. He was also coached by members of the Miro Quartet.
Lee is passionate in performing solo, chamber and orchestral music. In 2014, he was invited to to perform at Carnegie Hall as a member of the Collegium Muscium of Hong Kong. He won the 3rd Prize at the 5th Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition in 2017, and received a full scholarship to take part in the 30th Texas Music Festival and lead the festival orchestra as concertmaster.
