Ashley Lo graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and obtained her Master of Arts degree from Royal Academy of Music, London. She studied under Simon Carrington and Alan Cumberland on timpani; Neil Percy, Sophia Woo Shuk-fai, Adrian Stefanescu and Lung Heung-wing on percussion; Colin Currie and Eric Sammut on marimba. She founded the 3+1 Percussion Quartet which debuted in Macao and Hong Kong in 2008. In 2009, she participated in the music camp and performances of LSO St Luke’s (London Symphony Orchestra). Apart from solo and ensemble music, Ashley Lo is also an experienced orchestral player, having performed with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Asian Youth Orchestra and orchestra of the Canton International Summer Music Academy; under the baton of Okka Kamu, François Xavier-Roth, Charles Dutoit and Yan Pascal Tortelier.
