Chen Chiu-yuan graduated from National Taiwan Normal University and obtained her Master of Music degree from Juilliard School and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from City University of New York. Her performance at the opening concert of Juilliard Chamber Festival 2005 was praised by The New York Times as “zesty, energetic, and capturing the music’s spirit.” Winner of many competitions, Chen gave her Carnegie Hall début recital in 2007 as a winner of Artist International Presentation in New York. She has performed as a soloist on tour with National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and participated in Pacific Music Festival in Japan and Leipzig International Summer Academy. She is member of Hong Kong Sinfonietta and teaches at HKAPA.
