Lothar Odinius Is One Of The Most Sought-after Concert And Oratorio Singers.
He Has Made A Name For Himself Internationally With A Repertoire From Baroque To The Present.
He Is A Regular Guest At International Festivals And In All Major Concert Halls From Berlin, Vienna, Milan, London To New York.
He works with conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Adam Fischer, Emmanuelle Haïm, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Thomas Hengelbrock, Philippe Herreweghe, Andrew Manze, Sir Neville Marriner, Marc Minkowski, Kirill Petrenko, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Helmuth Rilling, András Schiff, Peter Schreier, Andreas Spering, Christian Thielemann and Franz Welser-Möst together.
He is equally at home on the opera stage and has already been a guest at the most prestigious venues such as the Zurich Opera House, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Opéra National de Paris, Schwetzingen, Glyndebourne and the Bayreuth Festival.
The focus of his repertoire is on all major mozart roles, from the Lyrical Tamino tothe More Dramatic Idomeneo.
Some of the highlights of the 2016/17 season were Duke Guido von Urbino / A Night in Venice at the Opéra de Lyon, Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria / Giove u. Anfinomo under Emmanuelle Haïm at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Froh / Das Rheingold under Thomas Hengelbrock and with the NDR Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Dortmund and Baden-Baden, Bach’s Johannes Passion in Paris also under Thomas Hengelbrock, Haydn’s Creation / Uriel under Sir Roger Norrington in Kiel, Schubert’s winter trip in the chamber music version in Lisbon, works by Telemann and Handel in the Dresden Semperoper, Mahler’s Das plaekende Lied in Madrid and most recently Mozart’s C minor Mass under Bernard Labadie at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Lothar Odinius can also be seen on the opera and concert stages in the 2017/18 Season.
The plan includes Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis under Steven Sloane as part of the Ruhrtriennale, his return to the Elbphilharmonie with Mozart’s Requiem and with chief conductor Thomas Hengelbrock on the podium, Haydn’s creation also with Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar Neumann Choir in Dortmund, Luxembourg, Baden-Baden, Hanover and Düsseldorf as well as in the opera area Duke Guido von Urbino / A night in Venice in the production of Peter Langdal in Graz and Muscat and Tito / La clemenza di Tito in Ghent and Antwerp.
He will make his debut as a box in Wagner’s Rheingold at the Kassel State Theater in the 2018/19 Season.
