Jiahong Ericsson Lin is a freshman at Northwestern University, where he pursues a dual degree in Integrated Science and Piano Performance under the guidance of Sylvia Wang. He previously studied with Gabriel Kwok at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has received recognition in numerous international piano competitions, including the Nanyang International Music Competition, Hong Kong Generation Next Arts Competition, Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition, and the PianoTexas Concerto Competition. As a concerto soloist, he has appeared with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra under Anatoly Rybalko, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under Miguel Harth-Bedoya, and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta under Wing-sie Yip. He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists and pedagogues including Pi-hsien Chen, Angela Cheng, Hieyon Choi, Bing Bing Li, Yuntian Liu, Ronan O’Hora, John Owings, Ewa Pobłocka, Andrey Ponochevny, Tamás Ungár, Arie Vardi, and Niu Niu (Shengliang Zhang).
