Daniel says:
“I grew up watching Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s Short-cut to Classical Music concerts, so being named their Artist Associate is a profound honour. As a jazz pianist and improviser, I was instantly intrigued by such an unconventional invitation, and I love what it represents: a beautiful testament that good music is simply good music, no matter the genre. Since I am classically trained, stepping into this role feels like coming home – but returning with the contemporary influences that shape my creative identity. I look forward to making music with the orchestra, and of course, working with the management to bring fresh ways of imagining and presenting performances.”
