Chen Chen
Tenor

A prizewinner of the 7th Concours Lyrique International “Bell’Arte” in Belgium, Chen Chen has been giving regular solo recitals in music festivals in Europe since 2012, including the Engadin Festival and Lugano Festival (Project Martha Argerich) in Switzerland. His operatic appearances include Ferrando in Così Fan Tutte, Jason in Médée, Lord Percy in Anna Bolena, Don José in Carmen, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Cassio in Otello and Wilhelm in Mignon. He sang the role of President Roosevelt in the world première of Chan Hing-yan’s Datong at the 2015 Hong Kong Arts Festival.

Chen has worked for the Dutch National Opera Academy and Georg Solti Accademia. He obtained his two Master’s degrees from the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Welsh International Academy of Voice. Currently a student of Warren Mok, Chen has also studied with Kiri Te Kanawa, Dennis O’Neill and Gong Dong-jian.
