Kiann Chow
Violin

Currently a member of Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Co-founder of the Romer String Quartet and Duo Volce (harmonica and violin), Kiann Chow began her violin studies at Yip’s Children’s Choral and Performing Arts Centre with Li Wing-shun and Zheng Shi-sheng from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She later received her Master of Arts in Performance with distinction and Licentiate Diploma in Teaching (LRAM) from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) under the tutelage of Mayumi Fujikawa.

Chow has performed at various prestigious concert venues in America, Europe and Asia including New York’s Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall, London’s Royal Albert Hall and Tokyo’s Toppan Hall. She also recorded an album on Frank Zappa’s music as a member of the Royal Academy of Music Manson Ensemble.

Chow is dedicated to music education. She is currently a violin tutor at Yip’s, as well as the String Orchestra Coach at her alma mater Belilios Public School.
