Adam Treverton Jones
Bassoon
Adam Treverton Jones has been the Principal Contrabassoon of the Hong Kong Philharmonic since 2002. He studied at the Royal College of Music with Martin Gatt and Julie Price, followed by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, principally with Meyrick Alexander and Gordon Laing.
Adam has worked frequently with ensembles in the UK during his tenure in Hong Kong, including the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and BBC Symphony orchestras, in addition to performing chamber concerts in many venues around the country. He has also participated in various chamber performances in Hong Kong and Macau, and performs annually in many educational concerts at schools throughout Hong Kong.
Yoga has been a major part of his life for the last 10 years, and he loves outdoor activities such as hiking and fly-fishing. This year he has been trying something new- tennis!
