Alice Ma graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in Contemporary Dance and specializing in Choreography. She received a scholarship in 2007 to participate in the American Dance Festival, and another scholarship of the Festival in 2012 to perform her work Base-Line II in Henan. Her recent choreographies include Soulless, Superman said… and Base-line.
Ma has collaborated with various arts groups, including Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong Dance Company, City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Y-space, E-side Dance Company, and Drama Gallery. She has been a part-time instructor at CCDC Dance Centre and HKAPA School of Dance since 2009 and 2016 respectively.
