Arturo Costa Martínez

Arturo Costa Martínez is an accomplished Spanish cellist who graduated from Paris Conservatoire National Rueil-Malmaison and was awarded a Masters with Distinction from the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London.

At the age of 21 Costa Martínez was appointed Principal Cello of Cordoba Symphony Orchestra. He has worked with orchestras including National Orchestra of Spain, Orchestre du la Cite International du Paris, Pizazz Symphony of New York, Madrid Philharmonia, Macao Orchestra, Royal Ballet of London, Russian National Ballet, Taipei Symphony (TSO), Orchestra for Myanmar, Evergreen Symphony (EVA), Nanjing Orchestra of China, Taipei Philharmonic, Habana String Quartet, BBC Symphony as part of the RCM Orchestral Scheme and was a member of Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra (UNESCO Peace Artist).

Costa Martínez resides in Taipei, working as a cello teacher in different schools and serving on the jury in international music competitions. He frequently performs solo concertos and recitals at festivals in America, Asia and Europe. He recently released a new CD on Sunrise Records, featuring the six Bach Cello Solo Preludes .
