Carolina Ullrich
Soprano

Carolina Ullrich was born in Chile and studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. She is a laureate of various competitions including the ARD International Music Competition, Federal Singing Competition and “Das Lied” International Competition in Berlin, International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau and Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York. Guest appearances have taken her to the Bavarian State Opera, Hanover State Opera, Berlin Philharmonie, Philharmonie am Gasteig and Lucerne Festival, and she has performed extensively in her native Chile, as well as in Japan and South Korea. From 2010 to 2018, she served as a soloist at the Semperoper Dresden.

Both on the opera stage and in concert, Ullrich has worked under the batons of conductors such as Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, Frédéric Chaslin, Maurizio Benini, Giampaolo Bisanti, Jonathan Darlington, Asher Fisch, Andrés Orozco Estrada, Bertrand de Billy, Markus Poschner, Rodolfo Fischer, Maximiano Valdés, Jan Latham-Koenig, Stefan Klingele, Enoch zu Guttenberg, Christoph Gedschold, Omer Meir Wellber, Pier Giorgio Morandi, Helmuth Rilling and Christoph Poppen.

In December 2022, Ullrich performed at the Philharmonie an der Isar in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio conducted by Jos van Immerseel.
