Chow Yip-wai

Graduated from New England Conservatory and Eastman School of Music, Chow Yip-wai is hugely inspired by his numerous mentors, they are Wonhee Bae and Dimitri Murrath from Esmé Quartet, Robin Scott from Ying Quartet, along with Professors Ayano Ninomiya and Charles Castleman.
Prior to becoming the newest addition to the celebrated Romer String Quartet of Hong Kong. Yip-wai was also a member of the Montclaire String Quartet in West Virginia, USA, also as faculty at West Virginia State University; and the prize winning Cong Quartet of Hong Kong.
Yip-wai has won awards from the Brookline Symphony Concerto Competition, MTNA Young Artists Competition, and he was the first-prize winner of Japan-Hong Kong International Music Competition.
