Lai Bo Ling

Pianist Lai Bo Ling has performed extensively in the US, the UK, Europe, China, Macau and Hong Kong. In 2008, Bo Ling was awarded first place in the Symphony in Life and Music Competition, which took her on a concert tour with Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, appearing as the piano soloist in the Aberdeen International Music Festival. In 2010, she was invited by Metropolitan Youth Orchestra to perform in the “Beautiful Sunday Concert” at the Symphony Hall of Shenzhen Concert Hall. She was awarded Most Distinguished Musician and a Kabalevsky special mention in the IBLA World Competition in Italy (2012), and was also a prize winner of the MTNA and Pi Kappa Lambda Honours competition (2013).

She attended Diocesan Girls School, where her talents as a pianist earned her numerous accolades, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Music degree at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she studied with Nancy Loo and Gabriel Kwok. She was awarded full scholarship to study at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where she won the Solomon Piano Award (2013) and attained a Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Tamás Ungár. Now back in Hong Kong, she maintains a busy schedule teaching and performing.
