Valeria Sepe
Soprano

Winner of the New Generation Award (Soprano), International Opera Awards “Opera Star” in 2015, Valeria Sepe is one of the most promising young sopranos in the Italian music scene. She made her début in Rota’s Napoli Milionaria (Amalia), and has sung leading roles in such operas as Turandot (Liù), La Bohème (Mimì), Simon Boccanegra (Amelia), Carmen (Micaela) and Pagliacci (Nedda). She has performed in some of the most important Italian opera houses including Teatro Massimo of Palermo, San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and Teatro Verdi in Pisa. She has also appeared in festivals including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the 28th Macau International Music Festival, performing in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle.

Graduated from G F Ghedini Conservatory in Cuneo, Sepe has collaborated with conductors including Fabio Luisi, Nicola Luisotti, Renato Palumbo and Stefano Ranzani, and has worked with such famous singers as Luisa Castellani, Mariella Devia and Marcello Giordani. Upcoming highlights include the performances in La Bohème at Teatro Regio in Parma and at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Carmen at Arena di Verona.
