Yang Jing-xian graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy (Dance School) with a bachelor’s degree, and later obtained a Professional Diploma from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She won the Second Prize (Open Age Classical Solo) at the Australia CSTD Theatrical Awards, and 4th place (Contemporary Dance) at the American Dance Competition in 2011. Yang has performed overseas with Hong Kong Ballet and Shanghai Far East Dance Company. She has also participated in productions and festivals including Exotic Territory, Interpretation 2 (Shanghai International Contemporary Dance Festival), Guangdong Dance Festival, and City Contemporary Dance Company’s “35th Anniversary Local Choreographer’s Performance”. Recent performances include That Day with Hong Kong Dance Alliance and Trinity at Hong Kong Arts Festival 2017.
