Tinny Cheung received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London and completed her master’s degree at Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany, under Christian Hommel.
In 2016, Cheung was the Co-Principal Oboe of Southbank Sinfonia in London and performed in productions of the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne Opera. In 2014, Cheung was selected to participate in the Penderecki Music Academy, touring Germany and Poland with Krzysztof Penderecki. Her performances were broadcasted by BBC Radio 3, Hessischer Rundfunk and RTHK Radio 4. She has appeared as a soloist with Hong Kong Young Musicians’ Wind Orchestra, and has performed with Ensemble Modern (Germany), Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
